This is a review specifically for the Mountford's Bourke Street store- Isabella in particular, was a pleasure to deal with, & helped me to make my purchase. She was happy to look up shoe codes for stock availability in neighbouring suburbs. I had visited a nearby shop (same chain...) a day or two beforehand & upon upon querying if they had the boots I had seen online, the attendant was blunt to the point of rudeness. She stated that "NONE of our stores have long boots yet- they're ALL online!!". She also commented in quite a rude scoffing manner when i mentioned it is challenging to get size 11 shoes for myself. My husband remembered there was another Mountfords store in the city & we went there instead, hence my positive review for BOURKE ST store only. The atmosphere is completely different there; you're not made to feel like you're a hassle at the Bourke Street store, unlike the lady I encountered at the other store. The attendant there was gracious & helpful regarding my request for size 11. I have since heard of other similar stories when dealing with this same person at the city store, so ensure you visit Bourke St for excellent customer service. I'm very happy with my purchase of long boots, & the experience all round, so thank Isabelle & team 🏅 , you've made what was a stressful time into a happy boot buying moment for me 🥰

Came in about a month ago and wasn't planning to buy anything but found a bargain! It seems I was visiting during a sale period and the floor was busy with multiple customers browsing, trialling shoes and making purchases. While I did have to wait a little, everyone I interacted with was patient and helpful. Sad that there are no Mountfords in my area but I will definitely consider returning! There was a great range of shoes on offer and I had a wonderful in-store experience :)

We had a wonderful shopping experience at the Bourke Street store. We were served by Paris whose patience, product knowledge and attention to detail were impeccable. Her recommendations were specific to our needs and we are very happy. Thank you, Paris! Highly recommended!

The best shoe shop in Melbourne. Come here for the top shoe brands at good prices. They also have a sale section that has good shoe brands at bargain prices. We were served by a very good assistant called Paris. She was knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend buying shoes with Paris.

Big thank you to Wendy for spending hours with me choosing my sneakers for an OS trip. My feet are not an easy fit, so Wendy made sure I tried on many brands and different styles until I was completely sure of my purchase, which I love. Wendy you are amazing with your customer service and attention to detail. We need more Wendy’s in retail.

Wonderful service. Engaging young staff and very supporting managerial supervisor. I will repeat the experience in Bourke Street. The same shop in The Block Arcade was not as enjoyable a time with a very cold and disinterested approach to the client. I thanked the saleswoman and walked out.

Amazing shoe store with great selection. Especially the leather shoe. Most importantly, decent price. Also the service is amazing , staff were very helpful.

I purchased Pikolinos TAN and Wendy the "second assistant" was exceptional in assisting me, and even offered another pair to be delivered to Newcastle and I got the sale price. Thank you Wendy, you made my day with your friendly and helpful service, I'm going to order another pair in white today and these Pikolinos Vallarta are the most comfortable shoes. Will definitely pop in again, next time I'm visiting Melbourne.
